It is amazing to be here writing this blog and sharing my story with you. After working for 9 years in a high paced corporate environment I decided to totally turn my life upside down and follow my dream. A dream that has been 3 years in the making and here I am.

This blog is a place to inspire, challenge and to create a change within you. My goal is to make you laugh, feel normal and fall in love with yourself again.

I remember the specific moment I decided that I wasn’t happy deep down. There was a gap in my life and I had to do something about it. It was the scariest moment of my life because I didn’t know what it meant. On the outside I had a fantastic job, great car, expensive suits, a comfortable home, awesome boyfriend, wonderful friends and two beautiful dogs. On the outside I was happy, but in my heart I knew something had to change.

So I took 12 months off work, rented out my house, sold my car and packed up our house for an adventure. It was the craziest and most displaced I’d ever felt in my life but it was the best thing for me.

After 12 months off and lots of time to reflect, lots of business planning and lots of dreaming I have finally started my own coaching practice. Rise Up Coaching is my brain child and its purpose is to help people “reach great heights”.  I hope that I help you be the best you can, be true to yourself and create a stir deep down. There were many realisations during my time off and I’ve made everlasting changes to my life

  • Make time and create space to listen to the universe. Make time for this. Whether it’s a bath once a week, meditation, walks by yourself or simply keep a notebook by your bedside to free write in. You’ll be amazed at what comes out
  • Let go of control. Having spent the last 10 years of my life being to total control and making things happen, this was my biggest lesson. When you let go and trust, you are allowing yourself to be open to amazing things. Difficult times happen for a reason. It may not make sense for some time, but it does make sense eventually.
  • Ask for help. Surround yourself with wonderful people who love you and support you no matter what. When you need help be sure to ask, reach out, people want to help and never want to see you struggling or hurt.
  • You are not your job title, your clothes, your salary or your degree. You are so much more and will continue to grow and change. You are a beautiful spirit on a journey and the journey is unfolding before you. Don’t be limited by what you think people think you are.
  • You don’t know what you don’t know. Expand your mind and continue to learn. Read more, speak to more people, judge less and create a freedom within yourself to just BE!
